Top tip:  Book your hotel as early as possible!  The best resorts fill up quickly, and in most places even the hotels that are far from the beach have very limited availability around spring break, so make a reservation ASAP!

1 – Cancun

Top of the list of best spring break destinations in Mexico this year is Cancun, and for good reason!

Wild seafront parties, all-inclusive beachside resorts, crystal clear waters, amazing diving spots, and thrilling water sports are just a few reasons Cancun attracts thousands of spring breakers every summer.

If you manage to peel yourself away from the party for a few hours, head to Cozumel island for nature reserves, snorkeling reefs, and Mayan ruins!

2 – Puerto Vallarta

Daytime activities include waterskiing, snorkeling, and if you head up the coast to Sayulita you’ll find beautiful surfing beaches and secluded coves for swimming.

3 – Acapulco

Acapulco’s still got it, attracting spring breakers from all over with the best party scene in the country, fresh seafood on every corner, sheltered golden beaches, and lively coastal resorts.

The best bars and clubs are along the main stretch of seafront on Avenida Costera.  Most places get crowded during spring break, so get there early for a table and drink deals!

Don’t forget to watch the cliff diving show at La Quebrada, and for dramatic sunsets with a cold beer in hand, go to Playa Pie de la Cuesta beach

5 – Los Cabos

Los Cabos is probably the most beautiful spring break destination in Mexico, but it’s still a hot spot for never-ending parties, high-end resorts, and open-air nightclubs!

Los Cabos even has a music festival during spring break with popular DJs from around the world!

If you’re staying in San José del Cabo, the most popular bars and clubs are located off Paseo Malecon San José near the beach, or around Plaza Mijares.

In Cabo San Lucas, find the best bars and clubs around the docks area, although most resorts have a resident DJ and are great for partying!

5 – Puerto Escondido

One of the more relaxed destinations on this list, Puerto Escondido is Mexico’s go-to surfer town.  But don’t worry, it packs a hefty punch for its size, attracting spring-breakers to its clubs and beaches every year.

Puerto Escondido is great if you’re on a budget for spring break.  Keep your bank account happy with affordable Airbnbs, inexpensive hotels, and freshly cooked meals for around $5 USD!

Dance under the starry night sky at Zicatela beach with open-air clubs, palm-covered bars, and the cheapest cocktails on the pacific coast!  For a more low-key night out, go bar and restaurant crawling along Benito Juarez street above Carrizalillo beach. 

Recover from your hangover with fresh inexpensive seafood dishes on Playa Manzanillo, also one of the best spots in town for snorkeling and swimming in the calm bay.

If you’re a seasoned surfer, Zicatela is one of the best surfing beaches in the world.  Can’t surf?  No problem, Carrizalillo beach has great surfing lessons for beginners.
